Manager / Project Manager, Business Operations
About the role
The team at Allied World focuses on leveraging data, AI and automation to increase efficiency and enable underwriters to focus on decision making and market engagement. They also deliver data and analytics to underwriters to support key processes and broker/client engagement, manage offshore operations resources to support delivery of services, drive change management to ensure underwriters embrace new platforms and ways of working, support Allied World's Global Placement team to ensure they are equipped to support underwriters to win multinational insurance program business, and support US Programs underwriters to evaluate, onboard and implement new programs.
Key responsibilities
- Understand Underwriter and Operations opportunities and challenges for growth within focus areas
- Understand and document business requirements and project manage initiatives
- Work with offshore and onshore Operations, IT and other support centers to deliver support in focus areas
- Work with offshore Operations to manage and enhance their delivery of underwriting support
- Identify and deliver on opportunities for continuous process improvement
Skills and experience
- 5+ years of project management experience, ideally with some experience in the insurance industry
- Experience in managing process improvement and change projects, working with IT and cross-functional teams
- Ability to understand, document and communicate business requirements to turn opportunities for improvement into solutions
- Excellent organizational skills to ensure timely delivery
- Strong, demonstrated influencing skills, written & verbal communication
- Able and willing to identify and propose new approaches and ideas for improvement
Pay
The salary range for this role is between: $90,000 - $105,000
