About the role

The Hotels organization at Capital One is launching a dedicated Tax and Compliance vertical to ensure global regulatory standards are met. Historically, tax requirements were scattered across various teams; now, this domain has its own dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a lean, scrappy pod of engineers to build a scalable, compliant foundation for tax logic in the tech stack.
• Act as the strategic bridge between Legal, Risk, and Engineering, translating complex regulatory advice into a technical roadmap.
• Navigate diverse touchpoints across the organization to ensure back-end systems handle tax logic with precision.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field), Business or Marketing OR a Bachelor's degree in any field and 3 years of Product Management experience.

• Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer-facing digital products.

Salaries for this role vary by location:

• Mclean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Manager, Product Management
• New York, NY: $179,700 - $205,100 for Manager, Product Management
• Richmond, VA: $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Product Management
