Responsibilities

  • Envision, design, and deliver best-in-class solutions that enhance the quality of life for software delivery teams while maintaining high quality and security standards.
  • Transform the Capital One Developer Experience by defining and executing strategy to improve developer productivity, test automation, and the delivery pipeline.
  • Partner with tech and design partners to develop tools and strategies for developers, including writing, building, and testing code, and implementing automated testing in the DevOps pipeline.
  • Drive the adoption of development tools and provide quality measures for developed software.
  • Champion developer needs by leveraging the Software Development Life Cycle and industry best practices to establish a developer experience vision and strategies.
  • Define features and collaborate with technical teams to ensure delivered capabilities align with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Currently holds or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field), or a Bachelor's degree in any field with 3 years of Product Management experience.
  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer-facing digital products.
  • Experience exploring, prototyping, or implementing emerging technologies and AI automation tools (such as Gemini, Claude, Claude Code, or Google Apps Script).

Pay

Salaries for this role vary by location and are listed below:

  • Chicago, IL: $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Product Management; $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
  • McLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Manager, Product Management; $200,700 - $229,100 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
  • New York, NY: $179,700 - $205,100 for Manager, Product Management; $219,000 - $249,900 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
  • Plano, TX: $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Product Management; $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
  • Richmond, VA: $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Product Management; $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
