Manager, Product Management - AI/ML
About the role
Enterprise AI/ML is powering real-time, intelligent banking by introducing new AI/ML capabilities and safely scaling business-led innovations. This horizontal platform team builds intelligence capabilities, spanning distributed compute technologies, control plane operations, and cost management, directly engaging with users of Capital One's largest AI & ML platforms to understand and solve complex technical and operational challenges. We drive transformative solutions in partnership with engineering, risk, security, and business teams to ensure that rigorous governance, security, resiliency, and availability requirements are met.
Responsibilities
- Build exceptional products and experiences for technical users like data scientists, ML engineers, and software developers
- Influence and shape the platforms and tools that thousands of engineers use every day to deliver intelligent, personalized customer experiences
- Translate business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
- Explore, prototype, or implement emerging technologies and AI automation tools (such as Gemini, Claude, Claude Code, or Google Apps Script)
Requirements
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
- A Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field), Business or Marketing
- Bachelor's degree in any field and 3 years of Product Management experience
Qualifications
- Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
- Previous experience in an AI/ML product role

Salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
- Chicago, IL: $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Product Management; $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
- Mclean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Manager, Product Management; $200,700 - $229,100 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
- New York, NY: $179,700 - $205,100 for Manager, Product Management; $219,000 - $249,900 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
- Richmond, VA: $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Product Management; $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
