Manager, Product Design (Hybrid)
About the role
The Product Design Manager will lead a team of distributed designers, ensuring they deliver world-class user interfaces for products in our platform. They will partner with peers in design, engineering, and product management to prioritize, track, triage, organize roadmap priorities, and manage team allocation. They will communicate and socialize design objectives and principles to the broader team, mentor and coach designers, optimize team processes and structures, foster design excellence through consistent design reviews, and develop knowledge of all CrowdStrike products and services to identify areas of overlap and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of distributed team designers, inspiring them to deliver world-class user interfaces for products in our platform.
- Partner with peers in design, engineering, and product management to prioritize, track, triage, organize roadmap priorities, and manage team allocation.
- Communicate and socialize design objectives and principles to the broader team.
- Mentor and coach designers within and outside your squad to foster accountability, elevate design craft, and grow their professional careers.
- Optimize team processes and structures to enhance strategic influence, handoff quality, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Foster design excellence through consistent design reviews, constructive feedback, and cohesive solution development.
- Develop knowledge of all CrowdStrike products and services to identify areas of overlap and collaboration.
- Craftsmanship, attention to detail, flexibility, and love for great products binds us together as a team.
Requirements
- Strong leadership skills working with designers, PM/Eng partners, and other managers.
- Servant leadership, fostering teamwork.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal).
- Hands-on enterprise B2B SaaS product design expertise.
- Flexible context-switcher (people/resourcing for multiple projects).
- Self-driven, growth-oriented, open to feedback.
- Data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to create alignment among stakeholders.
- Growth-mindset.
- Outstanding collaboration in a fast-paced, highly distributed environment.
- At least 3 years of people management experience.
- Online portfolio.
- Ability to work from our Arlington VA., Austin TX., or New York NY. offices 2+ days per week.
- Bonus points: Experience in platform level design, experience in product design for Cloud infrastructure, ERP, or other data-heavy SaaS product areas, knowledge of the cybersecurity industry.

Pay
$140,000 - $215,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
