Description

The Manager of Procurement Excellence will support the implementation of the Copeland Business System best practices across the enterprise with a strong focus on procurement and supply chain through lean capabilities. They will be responsible for collaborating cross-functionally and with the procurement, operations, materials, and supply chain leaders to ensure successful implementation while being a driver of culture change.

The right candidate will have experience in lean management as well as experience in the procurement function, ideally within a manufacturing organization.

As The Manager Of Procurement Excellence, You Will Lead the Process Excellence function within the larger Procurement Excellence team
Apply Copeland Business System tools and methodologies to achieve continuous improvement
Facilitate impactful global improvements, specifically focused on the procurement function in alignment with strategic objectives and expectations
Manage the Process Excellence team while mentoring, training, and guiding the group to achieve business goals
Collaborate with the Oracle IT teams to enhance the Oracle platform to align with global policies
Connect with the analytics organization to develop standardized metrics and dashboards
Document newly rolled out processes as per global policies and train key business users
Become the SME on Oracle procurement and planning processes for the center-led procurement organization; build trust with the BU procurement and materials teams
Analyze business metrics, trends, and processes to develop improvement strategies
Design new analytics and KPIs focused on process improvement and system parameter accuracy; train users to adopt new dashboards and reports
Utilize a team-oriented structured problem-solving approach to analyze current conditions, diagnose problems, and identify improvement opportunities; demonstrate success with data
Uncover and investigate complicated problems using data and various systems; make recommendations to cross-functional teams to resolve any issues

Required Education, Experiences & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, engineering, or IT field
  • Minimum 7-10 years of related work experience in a continuous improvement, procurement, materials management, or IT functional analysis role
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior work focused on driving system and process change
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Oracle EBS or Oracle Cloud but will consider other ERP experience
  • Proven knowledge with developing business analytics, preferably with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, or Domo; SQL or other programming experience is desirable
  • Prior experience leading projects and tracking goals and milestones
  • Ability to engage with all levels of the organization, including training of peers as well as executives
  • Approachable leader always willing to train and mentor direct reports as well as others
  • Ability to travel 10-25% (mostly domestic travel)

Preferred Education, Experiences & Skills

  • Masters’ degree in business, supply chain, finance, or engineering preferred
  • Prior ERP implementation experience highly desirable

The newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for the air conditioning and cold chain businesses. Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise, our air conditioning related products help bring comfort and convenience in commercial, industrial and residential spaces. The cold chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions. With the blend of businesses and functions represented under this one roof, there are many opportunities for advancement within the Sidney location

Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers.
