About the role

The Manager, Portfolio Management COE reports to the Director of Global Project Management COE and works in North America, United States, New Jersey, Summit. This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the design, rollout and communications of new learning material supporting the Portfolio Management community standards, inclusive of skills, behaviors and processes and possibly systems.
  • Drive the design, rollout and communications of new enterprise-wide material supporting the Pipeline Innovation Model, partnering with SMEs, including playbooks, templates, tools and learning.
  • Manage and consistently enhance according to evolving business needs, the primary repositories (Sharepoint, Power BI) for resources related to pipeline portfolio management, innovation processes and related tools, learning and templates.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify and align on new or improved analytics for development and rollout.
  • Cook routine reporting needs that support enterprise-level pipeline metrics.
  • Coordinate with internal and potentially external experts to bring in appropriate training curriculum to support identified mandatory skillsets for the Portfolio Manager community (and possibly additional functional areas where required knowledge overlaps exist).
  • Solicit and synthesize feedback from multiple functions including R&D, Marketing, Packaging, Operations, Finance and others to understand the progress being made in pursuit of a premier portfolio management organization in Kenvue.
  • Implement necessary adjustments or support infrastructure.
  • Conduct annual Gartner survey (or equivalent) with key Portfolio & Project Management internal partners to monitor the impact the Portfolio Management organization and PfM COE are having on hitting our strategic goals.
  • Align with stakeholders on key opportunity areas for future roadmap work.
  • Support PfM community by identifying and designing proposals to resolve governance and analytics barriers, identifying key partners who can influence success and incorporating their insights into solutions.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of 8 years of business/work experience.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of portfolio / project management experience in a related industry.
  • Excellent communicator, verbally, in writing and experienced in designing, communicating and delivering training in person and virtually.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Power BI (or similar tool such as Tableau) reporting and analytics tool.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, and Sharepoint site design and maintenance.
  • Can successfully interact across all levels of the organization, leading discussions and holding teams accountable without line authority, driving alignment across cross-functional partners (Commercial, R&D, Operations, Finance, and others) as needed.
  • Strong business competence, with a solid understanding of portfolio and project management practices, and how to use this knowledge to make recommendations to achieve the goals of the Pipeline Portfolio Management organization.
  • Thrives with ambiguity and can act as a change agent, adapting quickly to changing business dynamics, solving with courage to shape and build new and improved ways of working and related behaviors.
  • Proven track record of meeting project objectives in fast-paced environments by successfully managing, tracking, and implementing successful strategies regarding scope, quality, time and cost.
  • Must be able to work independently and without direct line management authority over team members.
  • Must be accountable, work well under pressure and have strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Comfortable challenging status quo and looking for ways to improve ways of working processes.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of proven success supporting global training development, communications and change management in the area of pipeline portfolio and project management.
  • Experience working in Consumer Goods industry.
  • Experience in a GMP or regulated environment (Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, OTC).
  • Experience in Process Excellence / 6 Sigma methodologies.
