Manager, Platform Engineering

Responsibilities

• Hires, evaluates, and supervises technical teams.
• Provides guidance and training to technical teams.
• Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions.
• Manages the resolution of the most complex platform issues.
• Manages technical support staff who implement, monitor, troubleshoot, and install platforms across all systems.
• Plans, develops, and executes short range goals and strategies to meet department, divisional, and corporate objectives.
• Develops and implements changes to department policies and standard operating procedures.
• Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Led quality initiatives to improve the delivery of service levels.
• Responsible for delivering hardware and software maintenance and ensuring maintenance of critical technology.
• Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop and maintain standards for platforms.
• Implements new technologies for enterprise-wide infrastructure projects.
• Develops technical standards to serve Vanguard technical needs.
• Manages the ongoing performance of IT vendor products and services.
• Learns and understands client area business functions and requirements.
• Determines the appropriate technical tool to address the client's business needs.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years related work experience.
• Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Nice to have: Control-M Expertise, AWS Certification.
