Manager, Pharmacy (Third Shift)
Job Details
The Manager, Pharmacy is a critical operations management role key in driving improved patient outcomes, decreasing in-patient stays, and lowering the cost of healthcare. The Manager partners with the Site Leader to manage the strategic and day-to-day operations including staffing, employee engagement, and continuous improvement. The scope includes leading the Pharmacy Technician Staff, ATP operations, filling, packaging, and delivery. This individual will also act as one of the key leaders for their assigned location, ensuring issues related to human resource policy, engagement, and morale that affect all individuals working on-site are handled in a consistent manner, aligned with other functional leaders.
Responsibilities
- Achieve production cost to fill objectives, meet required level of productivity within the constraints of the budgeted headcount for available volume
- Disciplined and consistent approach to performance management including Individual Action Plans and Corrective Action, all employees achieve objectives
- Achieve month over month reduction in Quality Related Events associated with fulfillment
- Achieve goals for control and reduction of delivery cost per shipment
- Achieve inventory accuracy within 1% variance between our third party and our internal inventory management system values on a quarterly basis
- Achieve goals for reduction in inventory losses
- Embody AnewHealth’s Core Values in all communications and interactions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong leadership background and ability to provide guidance to the full spectrum of skill levels within the operation
- Front-line supervision of teams in excess of 25 employees
- Demonstrated ability to coach, counsel, and issue progressive discipline
- Natural ability to handle stressful situations and change in a positive manner that maintains and enhances morale and individual self-esteem
- Industry and continuous improvement experience in a high volume, precise fulfillment / distribution environment
Physical/Mental Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the pharmacy for extended periods of time
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for handling medications, operating equipment, and using computer systems
- Occasional lifting, carrying, or moving items up to 25 pounds
- Visual acuity to read prescription labels, reports, and computer screens accurately
- May require bending, reaching, and repetitive motions during production activities
Schedule
This is a full-time position with an expectation to work an average of 40 hours per week and be available outside of normal business hours to meet customer expectations on an ad-hoc basis. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
Travel
Travel may be required for operational needs, special organizational or departmental events or client-facing meetings.
