Manager PGO Engineering – Transmission P&C - Design
Major Job Duties And Responsibilities
Provide the leadership to accomplish departmental objectives by developing, monitoring, and adjusting management operating plans; coaching, developing, counseling, and disciplining employees.
Provide resources and expertise to plan, select equipment, design, and support construction for system protection projects. Also provides engineering expertise to support the regional maintenance organizations, distribution, and generation.
Support successful project completion in conjunction with the project teams by developing schedules, assigning/monitoring work, gathering resources, and resolving operational problems.
Monitor and assess work products to ensure that project activities are performed in a safe and cost-effective manner that contributes to the safety of employees and the public, reliability of service, reasonable protection of the environment, and high levels of employee and customer satisfaction.
Control expenses by gathering/submitting budget information, scheduling expenditures, monitoring variances, and implementing corrective action.
Implement productivity standards, monitor results.
Motivate employees to stimulate maximum productivity and efficiency.
Establish employee accountabilities/goals; conduct employee performance appraisals; maintain employee records and files.
Recruit, select, orient, and train employees. Develop employees to meet changes in culture and technology.
Basic/Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering and 7 plus years' experience.
Current PE license
