Manager, Peer Review Excellence

For our client, a leader in the Business Services space, we are seeking a Manager of Peer Review Excellence to lead continuous improvement work focused on process discipline, productivity, and measurable operating gains. This role partners with operational leaders and project stakeholders to standardize workflows, identify bottlenecks, and improve execution quality, creating scalable operational improvements within a Business Services environment.

Location: Remote – US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of peer review workflows across journal portfolio
• Standardize and improve peer review processes to uphold editorial standards
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with service level agreements
• Oversee manuscript tracking system migrations and operational readiness
• Analyze workflow performance using data-driven insights for continuous improvement
• Foster team development through collaboration and resource planning
• Engage stakeholders to align workflow standards and drive strategic initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• 7+ years of experience in scholarly publishing and editorial operations
• Experience with workflow automation and process improvement initiatives
• Experience managing editorial office vendors and service providers
• Strong analytical and project management skills

Pay

$125,000 – $140,000 annually
