Manager Payroll & Benefits

About the role

Our client, a professional services organization, is seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager to oversee payroll operations, benefits administration, and reporting activities. This role will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and support process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll processing and related compliance activities.
• Oversee employee benefits administration and vendor relationships.
• Support audits, reporting, reconciliations, and operational workflows.
• Assist with open enrollment and employee benefit inquiries.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems.
• Prepare reporting, metrics, and analysis for leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of payroll experience.
• 5+ years of management experience.
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Lookups.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint.
• Experience with payroll systems required.
• Paylocity and/or bswift experience preferred.
• Benefits administration experience is a plus.
