About the role

Responsible for planning, organizing and implementing specific services in all areas of responsibility. Ensures hospital and off-site laboratories maintain compliance with all regulatory and accrediting agencies. Manages fiscal management, performance improvement activities, and compliance with all relevant policies/procedures and regulations. Oversees personnel processes and daily operations for all areas of responsibility, ensuring timely delivery of quality laboratory information. Provides input into goal and policy development, budget planning, and future growth opportunities as appropriate. Directly supervises and oversees all areas of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or Bachelor's degree in a related field with five years of clinical laboratory experience, or Master’s degree in a related field with one year of clinical laboratory experience
  • Certified through ASCP, AMT or equivalent laboratory certification agency
  • Six to ten years of clinical laboratory experience in related discipline, with two years as Team Lead or equivalent leadership position

Qualifications

Skills

Strong leadership skills, excellent communication and organizational abilities, proficiency in relevant software, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
