About the role
We are looking for a Social Manager to drive digital strategy and tactics to meet client goals, lead cross-departmental teams, and mentor junior team members. You will establish yourself as a leader with clients and internal teams, prioritize and execute quarterly priorities, and proactively share best practices across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Drive overall digital strategy and associated tactics to meet client’s goals, working closely with account lead(s)
- Establish leadership with the client and across all departmental teams, effectively prioritizing and negotiating needs between all parties
- Manage and develop junior team members through mentoring and training
- Prioritize and manage quarterly priorities and ad-hoc requests to ensure timely execution and client satisfaction
- Problem-solve and find solutions for issues not yet attempted
- Proactively share learnings and best practices across the organization
- Establish oneself as an expert within their functional department and client team
- Identify ways to improve team efficiency and effectiveness, such as implementing new processes
- Bring new proactive ideas to help meet client goals and grow business
- Consult, educate, and negotiate with clients and agency partners
- Communicate paid media insights, reporting, trends, and new initiatives to clients, agency partners, and vendors
- Present recommendations and ideas to clients and internal teams
- Merchandise successes to the client
- Educate client teams on the latest trends, best practices, and technologies
- Demonstrate appropriate judgment through proper escalation
- Apply in-depth knowledge of paid social optimizations (proactive and reactive)
- Conduct forecasting and opportunity/gap analysis
- Utilize campaign management tools, including bid rules/management
- Maintain advanced social platform knowledge across all objectives (awareness, consideration, and conversion)
- Monitor new social trends and products and evaluate their application to clients
- Use research tools and conduct competitive analysis
- Manage budget, pacing, and billing
- Stay updated on industry trends
- Help strategists and coordinators develop insights and actions aligned with client goals
- Oversee campaign management, including pacing, reporting, and optimizations
- Develop cross-channel performance strategies
- Establish yourself as a thought leader in advertising
- Proactively bring new opportunities and ideas to the team for broader business impact
- Ensure proper communication between various agency capabilities and the performance team
- Lead day-to-day client communications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications, or relevant post-secondary education, training, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of hands-on-keyboard work experience managing paid social media accounts
- Proactive self-starter with a passion for advertising
- General knowledge of direct marketing principles and strategies
- Polished presentation, communication, and listening skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Confidence in analyzing and acting on marketing data
Pay
$50,000 - $95,000
Schedule
Minimum of three days per week in the office, with potential for additional in-office days as directed.
