Manager on Duty/Front End Supervisor

About the role

The Manager on Duty (MOD) supervises all front-end staff and performs administrative tasks assigned by the store manager. The MOD will close the store on some nights and ensure the store is ready for opening.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily workflow of the front-end staff.
• Lead the store in all corporate assigned programs and policies.
• Recommend discipline and termination of employees by partnering with Store Management as needed and in accordance with policy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent, efficient, pleasant customer experiences; resolve any customer service issues, complaints, or requests.
• Assist with all closing and opening duties to ensure the store is ready for business.
• Continually train and support front-end staff and cash office procedures.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of the front-end, bathrooms, and parking lot.
• Ensure all front-end supplies and ice are fully stocked.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a retail environment, preferably in customer service, with increasing levels of responsibility.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the supermarket.
