About the role
The Manager of Volunteer Services oversees the coordination and management of volunteer programs within the organization. This includes recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers, as well as ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the recruitment and selection of volunteers
- Develop and implement training programs for volunteers
- Supervise and evaluate volunteer performance
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate volunteer efforts into organizational goals
- Manage volunteer schedules and resources
- Communicate regularly with volunteers to maintain engagement and satisfaction
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field (e.g., Human Resources, Social Work)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in volunteer management or related field
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with volunteer management software and tools
Qualifications
- Proven ability to manage volunteers effectively
- Experience working with diverse groups and communities
- Knowledge of volunteer management best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
