MANAGER OF SECURITY

About This Role

Reporting directly to the Director of Public Safety, the Manager of Security manages all functions of the Security Department including the supervision of Security personnel. Responsibilities include assuring a safe and secure environment for all patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all shift activities to ensure compliance with all hospital policies
• Monitor appropriate security officer response and documentation
• Ensure adequate staffing levels
• Investigate incidents
• Oversee surveillance systems
• Conduct fire drills on and off site
• Ensure fire extinguishers are checked monthly by Security Officers

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum three years of supervisory experience
• Experience in a healthcare security environment strongly preferred
• AVADE Certified in Workplace Violence Prevention Levels I, II, and III or obtain within 60 days of employment
• AVADE Certified Trainer preferred or obtain within 90 days of employment

• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Demonstrated ability to write Security Reports
• Computer skills required
• Ability to maintain confidential information

Schedule

Full Time, Day shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
