About the role

Join our Southwest Healthcare System team of professionals as a Manager of Rehab. Southwest Healthcare System consists of two acute-care hospitals: Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, CA and Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta, CA.

The Manager of Rehabilitation is responsible for the management of rehabilitation services that include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. Employee may be required to float to the other facility within Southwest Health Rancho Springs and Inland Valley Hospital based on operational needs, with appropriate orientation and competency validation provided.

Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, California, is a licensed 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission. It is Southwest Riverside County's only designated Trauma Center and a county-designated Paramedic Base Station. The hospital performs more than 4,000 surgeries a year, and has an average of 4,000 Emergency Department visits per month. The hospital features a Bariatric Weight-Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the region’s only Total Joint Center.

Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta, California, is a 120-bed acute-care hospital with the region's only Pediatric Emergency Services team (for children 14 and under) provided by board-certified Rady Children’s emergency medicine physicians. Rancho Springs Hospital also provides the area's only OB/Emergency Department program, which gives expectant mothers 24/7 on-site access to OB/GYN physician coverage. The Childbirth Center at Rancho Springs Hospital is the largest in the region and features spacious family-friendly private suites. Rancho's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is operated by Rady Children’s.

Responsibilities

• Manage rehabilitation services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology.
• Participate in administrative activities including staffing, performance review, fiscal management/accountability, customer relations, quality monitoring/improvement, and program development/marketing.
• Demonstrate awareness of the overall operation of the facility in relation to total patient care.
• Work effectively with a variety of patients and families regardless of varied racial, ethnic, and sociological backgrounds.
• Maintain good working relationships with other members of the healthcare team and foster collaborative effort regarding patient care.
• Within scope of service, evaluate, diagnose, plan, and provide quality therapy using the standards of professional practice.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited university with a master's or doctorate in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current California Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Therapist license.
• BLS certification.
• Five or more years of experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience required.
• Acute care experience preferred.
