Manager of Practice Performance and Optimization, Region 2, ProHealth Physicians, part of Optum

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key member of the regional team to drive alignment, reinforce organizational priorities, and support consistent execution across locations
  • Audit and analyze performance and scheduling metrics to identify trends, gaps and areas for improvement
  • Work with operations team to develop and implement necessary changes
  • Develop and maintain primary care schedule templates for various departments and teams within the organization
  • Support managers to address process and workflow issues, determine action plans
  • Adjust schedule templates based on requests and feedback, ensuring that all changes are approved by the appropriate authorities
  • Collaborate with department heads and team leaders to understand scheduling needs and requirements
  • Work closely with Practice Managers to drive the effectiveness of team huddles and staff meetings, promoting strong communication, team engagement, and consistent execution of operational goals
  • Coach and mentor site specific employees and managers as needed. Support practice managers in performance management
  • Support hiring, on-boarding, and evaluation of staff
  • Conduct Gemba walks and on-site operational observations, delivering meaningful insights and feedback to regional leadership teams to support continuous improvement
  • Engage in regional, site, and team meetings as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and regulatory requirements related to scheduling and time management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of clinician scheduling practices in a healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in Epic scheduling software and tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel within CT 75% or more
  • Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

Pay and Benefits

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).

The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
