About the role

The Manager of Patient Access oversees the daily operations of various departments including registration, insurance authorizations, central scheduling, front-end collections, mail room, and operators.

Responsibilities

  • Authorize and schedule patients for procedures in a timely manner
  • Accurately register patients
  • Communicate and collect patient financial responsibilities
  • Answer and transfer incoming calls
  • Train employees
  • Implement policy and procedure changes
  • Monitor work to ensure quality and service standards are met
  • Complete performance appraisals
  • Conduct staff meetings
  • Implement performance improvement initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience
  • 3-5 years of Patient Access experience
  • 1-3 years of Supervisor/Manager experience
  • EPIC technical expertise
  • Hospital-based patient access management experience
  • Leadership qualities
