Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain material and inventory control systems.
- Manage material scheduling in a Just-in-Time (JIT) environment.
- Support material activities associated with a Directed Buy process and assist in resolving contract management issues impacting material availability.
- Manage accurate inventory records for all parts within Company’s ERP system (MfgPro) and customer’s MRP system.
- Maintain strong relationships with the customer and supplier base.
- Support plant teams with Receiving Dock, Shipping Dock, and material storage issues.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with the customer and supplier base.
- Develop and manage inbound premium freight when necessary.
- Develop and manage PFEP database.
- Analyze part specifications to resolve specification errors.
- Analyze engineering changes and take appropriate actions to address material impact in support of the product launch/program.
- Develop and manage plant layouts.
- Follow safe practices.
- Champion all local supply chain system processes/documents.
- Draft and release all documents and approve any proposed changes to the local supply chain processes.
- Develop and manage team’s annual goals through its ongoing continuous improvement activities.
- Provide Materials support and expertise.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree (Materials Management, Finance, or Business Administration) required.
- APICS certification preferred.
- 7+ years Materials Management experience in the automotive industry.
