Manager of Emergency Department

Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. The system includes Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, a 250-bed regional referral hospital, as well as Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital, two 25-bed critical access hospitals providing essential care to rural communities. CMH is also home to the Maine College of Health Professions, Maine’s first nursing and medical imaging school.

About the role

This position is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of all activities in the Emergency Department at Bridgton Hospital. You will supervise and monitor the performance of Emergency Department staff, interact with physicians, hospital staff, outside agencies, patients, and their families to ensure comprehensive care.

• Supervise and evaluate the performance of Emergency Department staff.
• Collaborate with physicians, hospital staff, outside agencies, patients, and families to deliver high-quality care.

Requirements

• Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for all hires after 1/11/2021.
• Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory/management experience.
• Certifications required upon hire and to be maintained: BLS, PALS, ACLS.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• NRP certificate within 30 days of hire and to be maintained (for non-OB facilities).

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $40.82 to $59.13 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
