Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of three senior compensation professionals by setting priorities, offering coaching, and promoting strong performance and accountability.
- Direct the creation, administration, and refinement of compensation programs, including base pay frameworks, incentive plans, and sales compensation models.
- Provide expert guidance on compensation matters such as job evaluation, market pricing, benchmarking, and pay recommendations for business leaders and HR partners.
- Maintain and enhance compensation structures, job architecture, and governance practices to support consistency, scalability, and fairness across the organization.
- Collaborate with payroll, HR, and other internal partners to improve compensation processes, reporting, and system accuracy.
- Advise stakeholders on compensation policies, regulatory considerations, and best practices to ensure compliant and competitive programs.
- Support communication of compensation philosophy, program updates, and pay-related decisions to leaders and key stakeholders, including senior executives.
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives focused on total rewards, process improvement, and organizational effectiveness.
- Track market trends and emerging practices in broad-based, sales, and executive compensation to recommend program enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- At least 7 years of progressive compensation experience, including strong exposure to sales compensation.
- Demonstrated success as a working manager with responsibility for both team leadership and hands-on compensation work.
- Knowledge of compensation design, salary structures, incentive programs, and compensation administration practices.
- Experience partnering with HR, payroll, and business leaders to deliver data-driven compensation guidance.
- Understanding of applicable compensation regulations, compliance standards, and policy development.
- Strong communication, reporting, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with HRIS tools and compensation-related systems preferred.
