About the role
The Manager of Co-Manufacturing position at CJ Schwan’s is responsible for developing and executing key supply chain related initiatives for the business. This role serves as the primary contract manufacturing liaison to Business Units and R&D, driving sourcing, new product, cost optimization, capacity, quality, regulatory, and customer service initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contract manufacturing liaison to Business Units and R&D, promoting external manufacturing capabilities and aligning partners with strategic initiatives.
- Drive sourcing, new product, cost optimization, capacity, quality, regulatory, and customer service initiatives by identifying opportunities and leading cross-functional execution.
- Evaluate and prioritize business initiatives, lead internal-versus-external sourcing decisions, and manage contract manufacturing activities within the Stage Gate process.
- Develop and execute contract manufacturing productivity, capacity, and capital plans, resolving resource constraints and ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.
- Partner with Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Customer Service teams to improve product quality, compliance, service levels, and pricing structures.
- Manage contract manufacturer relationships, communications, and legal documentation, while conducting post-launch reviews to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience, most or all of which are in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of MS office.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments, manage budgets, meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
- Ability to work with and effectively communicate with external partners and across multiple platforms.
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong project management and budgeting skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $83,000 to $139,000 annually with eligibility for a 15% annual incentive bonus that is based on organizational performance.
