About the role
Supervise a team of clinical informatics advocates assigned to the facility or region.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day informatics support, ensuring timely resolution of issues, user assistance, and proactive engagement.
- Cook up participation in enterprise projects, EHR upgrades, system testing, and go-live support.
- Act as a clinical informatics liaison for nursing, providers, and other clinicians —ensuring effective system use and addressing workflow concerns.
- Promote and monitor the adoption of clinical documentation standards, decision support tools, and safety features within the EHR.
- Collaborate with training teams to deliver new hire onboarding, role-based education, and ongoing skills development related to clinical systems.
- Participate in site-level or regional workflow redesign efforts to improve documentation efficiency, clinician satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with clinical leaders to scope, evaluate, and validate optimization requests and coordinate with AIT teams on build changes.
- Ensure informatics support spans across ambulatory clinics, acute care units, procedural areas, and virtual care platforms.
- Foster partnerships across departments to drive integrated, patient-centered workflows.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred).
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline.
- 3+ years of clinical background.
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare informatics or equivalent role.
- 3+ years of experience with a clinical EMR system.
- 3+ years of management experience.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Preferred].
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Preferred].
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Preferred].
- Physical Therapist (PT) [Preferred].
Skills
- Knowledge of EHR systems.
- Leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation standards, decision support tools, and safety features.
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
