About the role

Supervise a team of clinical informatics advocates assigned to the facility or region.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day informatics support, ensuring timely resolution of issues, user assistance, and proactive engagement.
  • Cook up participation in enterprise projects, EHR upgrades, system testing, and go-live support.
  • Act as a clinical informatics liaison for nursing, providers, and other clinicians —ensuring effective system use and addressing workflow concerns.
  • Promote and monitor the adoption of clinical documentation standards, decision support tools, and safety features within the EHR.
  • Collaborate with training teams to deliver new hire onboarding, role-based education, and ongoing skills development related to clinical systems.
  • Participate in site-level or regional workflow redesign efforts to improve documentation efficiency, clinician satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with clinical leaders to scope, evaluate, and validate optimization requests and coordinate with AIT teams on build changes.
  • Ensure informatics support spans across ambulatory clinics, acute care units, procedural areas, and virtual care platforms.
  • Foster partnerships across departments to drive integrated, patient-centered workflows.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred).
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of clinical background.
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare informatics or equivalent role.
  • 3+ years of experience with a clinical EMR system.
  • 3+ years of management experience.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) [Preferred].
  • State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Preferred].
  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Preferred].
  • Physical Therapist (PT) [Preferred].

Skills

  • Knowledge of EHR systems.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation standards, decision support tools, and safety features.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
