Manager of Business Development

About the role

We are seeking District Growth Managers to support various clients within our Power Delivery Solutions and Technology, and Digital Transformation Solutions divisions across the country. Candidates ideally will be located in or near Orlando FL, Ft. Lauderdale FL, Charlotte NC or DMV Metro.

Responsibilities

• Drive and support new and existing business opportunities specifically for our Power Delivery Solutions, Technology, and Digital Transformation Solutions divisions with investor-owned utilities, cooperative utilities, developers and relevant state-wide energy agencies
• Build, manage, and execute multiple client pursuit and capture strategies within a multi-disciplined matrixed organization
• Build, execute, and maintain a commercially viable time-phased sales funnel that achieves the business objectives of each Business Area and the Sector
• Work with leadership to develop and execute strategies that drive positive margin growth and share for each Division with our existing client base

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four (4) + years of successful internal and external relationship management activities
• Experience in the electric utility industry
• Experienced at network development and expansion
• Able to operate successfully and lead in an environment with competing priorities
• Quickly process new information to derive and implement an actionable growth strategy
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding assigned metrics
• Proven track record of developing new and innovative approaches to markets and challenges
• Able to gather “ground truth” and work within the organization to design and implement effective strategies that meet the changing needs within a dynamic environment
• Able to travel up to 50-75% of the time, or as much as needed to achieve objectives

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, or business or MBA or other advanced degree
• Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) a plus
