Responsibilities

  • Lead all kitchen operations, including patient meal services, café, and physician lounge, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality food and service.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to align foodservice strategies with organizational goals, patient needs, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage staffing plans, training programs, and performance evaluations to build a skilled, engaged, and customer-focused team.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and local, state, and national regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement through operational audits, service quality initiatives, and data-informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of complex, multi-faceted, high volume food service operation.
  • Experience in a customer service environment with demonstrated excellent customer skills.
  • Ability to concurrently manage multiple operations and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of patient food service management/nutrition management software and ability to use it at a high level of proficiency.
  • CDM training or current credential.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree [Preferred]
  • Bachelor's degree [Preferred]
  • 2+ years of food service position-related experience upon hire [Required]
  • 4+ years of management and supervisory experience in restaurants or institutional food service upon hire [Required]
  • Experience as a patient services supervisor or manager in a healthcare setting. [Required]

Skills

  • Knowledge of patient food service management/nutrition management software and ability to use it at a high level of proficiency.
  • CDM training or current credential.
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • Driver's License (DL) [Preferred]
    • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points Certification (HACCP) [Preferred]
    • Registered Dietitian (RD) [Preferred]
    • Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) [Preferred]
    • Certified Dietitian (CD) [Preferred]
