Manager - Middle Office Hedge Fund Operations

About the role

You will work closely with leading private equity and hedge fund firms in the alternative asset industry, supporting them under the guidance of seasoned industry professionals. This role involves managing trade and position reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, preparing performance estimates, and overseeing fund accounting processes. Additionally, you will provide client onboarding support, manage team members, and act as an escalation point for complex issues.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the client lead to build and maintain strong relationships through direct communication with multiple clients.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by mentoring junior staff and actively participating in training and development.
  • Oversee financial operations including budgeting, vendor payments, cash management, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Advise clients on accounting matters while managing fund administrator interactions and supporting audits, NAV reviews, and tax filings.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve internal processes to monitor engagement efficiency and contribute to strategic client growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Five plus years of experience in financial services, ideally with middle office exposure and hedge fund expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments across domestic and global markets, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and FX.
  • Exceptional analytical, accounting, and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel and portfolio accounting systems such as Enfusion or Geneva, and strong research and writing capabilities.

Pay

$80,000 - $110,000, dependent on experience and location.
