Manager, MICE and Charter Operations

Responsibilities

• Maintain stewardship over all charter-related partner contracts, ensuring operational management, alignment with guest expectations, and adherence to Aman at Sea’s refined service standards.
• Collaborate seamlessly with onboard leadership to seamlessly deliver operational requirements and an effortless guest journey throughout each charter voyage.
• Partner closely with Hotel/Guest Experience teams to ensure all services are flawlessly coordinated and aligned with the bespoke nature of the charter experience.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of each charter by liaising with clients, relevant Operations teams, and onboard leadership to manage all requests, address inquiries, and resolve matters related to events, yacht charters, or incentive groups with poise and discretion.
• Conduct site inspections of the yacht with charter clients to develop a curated program to ensure each location reflects Aman’s uncompromising standards of serenity, privacy, and excellence.
• Support the Director, Charter & Partnerships by preparing business reports and insights that highlight key performance indicators and operational trends.
• Anticipate and resolve challenges with a calm, solutions-driven approach, providing timely and polished follow-up.
• Serve as a liaison across internal departments, fostering collaboration and ensuring swift, efficient responses.
• Escort clients during day visits, site sailings, and corporate programs, embodying the understated elegance and personalized attention synonymous with Aman.
• Manager the creation and execution of detailed event orders (EOs) and operational briefs for each charter, incentive, or group program, ensuring all onboard and shoreside teams are aligned.
• Cook up logistics for onboard and shoreside events, including vendor deliveries, customs clearance, and port agent communication.
• Manage financial reports, invoicing and administrative functions of contract management.
• Prepare and distribute internal communication documents, banquet event orders (BEOs), such as pre-voyage briefs, daily recap notes, and post-event reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, Transportation/Logistics, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of experience in charter operations, fleet management, luxury hospitality, or high-end travel operations, with at least 5 years in a management role.
• Proven track record overseeing end-to-end charter planning, execution, and service delivery in a complex, fast-paced, and customer-centric environment.
• Deep understanding of charter program management, guest service operations, and contractual execution.
• Demonstrated ability to balance operational demands with contractual compliance, cost control, risk management, and brand standards.
• Experience developing and optimizing workflows, processes, and operational controls to improve efficiency and performance.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret operational data, forecast needs, and make informed strategic decisions.
• Expertise in leading, motivating, and developing onboard and shoreside teams to deliver consistent, high-touch service.
• Skilled in managing cross-functional initiatives and partnering with departments such as Sales, Finance, Legal, and Guest Experience.
• Demonstrated success managing high-profile clients and VIP partners with discretion, professionalism, and brand alignment.
• Proven ability to resolve escalations, anticipate client needs, and ensure service excellence throughout the charter journey.
