Manager Materials Planning

About the role

The Manager, Materials Planning is responsible for creating production and material schedules to meet on-time delivery targets. This leader coordinates with key stakeholders in purchasing and inventory control and troubleshoots complex issues as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Develop methods and standards to measure and monitor flow and control of material on the manufacturing floors (WIP management)
• Utilize and manage core metrics and Key Process Indicators to lead the planning and production control teams in order to ensure material supply meets production requirements
• Work with the teams to capitalize on opportunities and issues such as what-if scenarios, push-outs, and pull-ins
• Participate in SIOP process, working closely with Master Planners to ensure job orders/WIP align with minimal compression
• Work with peer groups to ensure alignment and transparency of the build process
• Manage the development of the planning schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree: Minimum four (4) years of experience in people management. Minimum six (6) years of experience in field.
• Masters Degree: Minimum two (2) years of experience in people management. Minimum six (6) years of experience in field.
