This role oversees daily operations across Machine Shop, NDT, Shipping/Receiving, RA Furnace, PP Furnace, RAPP Screening, and Materials.
Responsibilities
- Oversee production operations, including shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management.
- Establish objectives and guidelines for managing and monitoring cell performance and productivity.
- Direct scheduling, sequencing of work, and production innovation to optimize production.
- Manage a team of intermediate or experienced professionals, including salaried supervisors, to determine work assignments and execution approaches.
- Set objectives and guide execution to achieve operational results.
- Ensure all quality-related items are complete and documented through cell leaders.
- Drive cost reduction and process improvement for operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure smooth operations.
- Maximize productivity by managing multiple cells’ performance.
- Direct production innovation, including additive manufacturing, to enhance capabilities.
- Liaise with customers to understand needs and ensure satisfactory service standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing operations, production, quality, or a related field, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience in the same fields.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of shop practices, processes, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP user experience.
- Supervisory/team leadership experience in a technical, operational, or shop environment.
- Continuous improvement certifications/training (e.g., 6 Sigma practitioner/Professional certification).
- Experience with Environmental Health & Safety principles.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $107,500 – $204,500 USD. The range is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
