About the role

Arthrex, Inc., a global medical device company and leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics, is seeking a Manager - Manufacturing Engineering to lead a team supporting their Suture Assembly Manufacturing Operations in Ave Maria, Florida.

  • Leverage Project Management tools to establish a plan and deliver reliable, predictable results
  • Seek, identify, mitigate, and control sources of equipment, process, operator, and measurement variation
  • Identify and control through sound engineering methods and techniques process inputs, characteristics, and parameters that significantly influence process outcomes
  • Acquire awareness and knowledge of new and advanced manufacturing technologies
  • Ensure compliance within functional area and support the compliance objectives of the organization as a whole
  • Establish a customer focused approach; external and internal customers

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related field or equivalent Arthrex experience required
  • 7 years Manufacturing Engineering/Manufacturing Operations experience required
  • 3 years supervisory or management experience required
  • Medical Device Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training

  • Full working knowledge in Design for Six Sigma, and Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing Techniques
  • Demonstrates process improvement skills
  • Demonstrates strong computer skills
  • Knowledge of all manufacturing machines
