Position Summary

We are seeking a highly Manufacturing Engineering Manager to work out of our Milwaukee Service Center. Serve as a key leader within the organization that helps to drive change and cultural growth in support of improvements in Safety, Engagement, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

Essential Duties

• Manages a team of engineers and technicians charged with optimization and upgrade of existing manufacturing equipment to achieve plants manufacturing goals.
• Participates in the purchase and install, start-up and validation of new equipment and/or processes as required to meet product specifications, requirements and manufacturing expectations.
• Designs, recommends and implements cost reduction projects within the scope of annual plant targeted goals.
• Maintains a 3 to 5 year vision for capital planning and a reaction strategy for addressing ongoing obsolescence management.
• Affords assistance in all phases of Budget and Standards preparation (Labor, Spare Parts, etc.) and supports bid and no bid meetings.
• Drives or participates in robustness evaluation and process/equipment improvements for new manufacturing and technology processes.

Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering is required. Advanced Technical (MS) or MBA is preferred.
• Must have a minimum of three (3) years leadership experience.
• Must have experience using Microsoft project or similar scheduling programs.
• Proficiency utilizing manufacturing systems preferable Oracle EBS system.
• Capable of operating a PC system in a network environment.
• Experience in process development and bill of material structure development preferred.
• Experience in a service environment or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience in the power generation industry preferred.

Skills

• Experience with factory automation equipment design, operation, and maintenance, preferably in a GMP regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma, and category management is desirable along with MRP and production order transaction maintenance experience using Oracle.
• Proficient with MS Office- Outlook. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects.
• Excellent communication skills to be able to work with shop management and project managers in managing shop schedules.
• Strong blueprint reading skills, math skill and problem solving abilities.
• Team leader capable of leading the team to a common goal/objective.

Preferred Experience

• Using the Oracle P6 project management software or comparable software.
• Experience in process development and bill of material structure development.
• Experience in a service environment.
• Experience in the power generation industry.

Additional Info

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places, and risk of shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold and wet, humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
