About the role

Dynacraft, a division of PACCAR, seeks a proactive, data-driven Materials Manager - Planning & Procurement to lead its Materials Planning team. This role oversees local, remote, and supplier-employed staff to manage multiple supply chains supporting manufacturing and distribution operations across all Dynacraft facilities. The position drives supplier performance, improves material availability, supports inventory management, and ensures planning activities align with operational goals for delivery reliability, profitability, and customer support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Materials Planning staff to support Dynacraft’s operating objectives, including delivery reliability, inventory management, and profitability.
  • Establish performance standards, goals, and objectives for the Materials Planning team.
  • Train and coach team members on SAP process excellence to improve effectiveness, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Partner with Production, Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, Corporate Purchasing, and suppliers to communicate and resolve material availability issues.
  • Lead supplier improvement projects focused on enhancing supplier delivery reliability and overall supply chain performance.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement projects that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support operational excellence.
  • Use fact-based decision-making and analytical problem-solving to address supply chain, inventory, and materials planning challenges.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting business objectives and timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and business partners to ensure alignment and timely resolution of issues.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including supervising, coaching, and developing employees.
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of eight years of supplier management experience.
  • Strong supply chain management and material planning experience with a proven record of success.
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP Materials Requirements Planning (strongly preferred).
  • Proven ability to solve problems using fact-based decision-making.
  • Strong analytical skills, including evaluating data, identifying trends, and recommending solutions.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to work effectively with suppliers and business partners.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
  • Understanding of production facilities, assembly operations, and heavy-duty truck operations (strongly desired).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field (required).
  • Master’s degree in business administration or a related field (preferred).
  • SAP Materials Requirements Planning training.
  • Six Sigma training.
  • Project Management training.
