Manager - Mammography

Role: The Mammography Manager oversees the mammography section of the radiology department, ensuring high-quality diagnostic services and compliance with standards. Responsibilities: Supervise staff, implement quality control, collaborate with radiologists, evaluate new procedures and equipment, manage departmental records, develop budgets, lead staff education, establish policies, and perform diagnostic mammography including mobile services and biopsies. Qualifications: Formal training in mammography, current registry certification, state licensure if required, and at least one year of mammography experience. Skills: Leadership, personnel management, departmental administration, quality assurance, patient communication, inventory management, and teamwork. Additional duties include staff hiring, performance appraisals, patient and physician correspondence, public speaking, and maintaining current CPR certification. The role involves instruction, problem-solving, and staying updated with industry advancements.
