Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Aid in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOP) and delegate responsibilities to personnel.
  • Maintain and oversee the performance and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems within the building.
  • Maintain and operate all cultivation and processing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot minor maintenance issues involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair/replacement.
  • Assist in the completion of the PM program, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facilities, equipment, and grounds.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis, including inspecting belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, greasing bearings, etc.
  • Provide coverage for the boiler, HVAC, and facility mechanical systems.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance.
  • Keep records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
  • Develop and implement a CMMS for the maintenance department and serve as the point of contact for CMMS administration.
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the building's interior and exterior.
  • Avoid non-compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, safety, and security standards.
  • Manage outside contractors for external facilities and equipment.
  • Assist in the periodic review and negotiation of service agreements with outside contractors.
  • Coordinate operations and schedules of personnel.
  • Interview, hire, and train personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 5 years of facility and equipment maintenance experience required.
  • 2 years of maintenance leadership experience required.
  • General knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and/or plumbing required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and registered with the state’s cannabis commission as an agent.
  • Must comply with all industry-related laws, regulations, and policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, facility management, or a related field preferred.
  • Certification in electrical, HVAC, and/or plumbing preferred.

Physical and Mental Demands

  • Frequent stationary position, moving and positioning oneself, communicating, operating, preparing, placing, and positioning objects, tools, or controls.
  • Occasional lifting of packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing for 90% of the time.
  • Comfortable with heights, ascending and descending ladders up to 25 ft.
  • Comfortable working atop and traversing scaffolding, when required.
  • Comfortable with changing environmental temperatures and humidity.
  • Close observation and adjusting focus required.

Working Environment

  • Warehouse environment.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
