About the role
Manage all aspects of the technical department including managing maintenance costs, contractor-performed maintenance, regular and preventive maintenance, and new equipment installations.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a cohesive team for technical employees focused on company objectives of safety, quality, service, and efficiency.
- Drive and apply lean principles to the maintenance processes to minimize waste and increase the throughput.
- Use data collection processes to evaluate unplanned downtime and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain monthly R&M spend for the facility.
- Organize and track capital projects.
- Maintain production standards and measurement systems as required.
- Promote employee engagement activities to create and maintain a positive work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Safety metrics
- Scrap / Lbs processed
- PM compliance
- Unplanned downtime
- Mold change time (if applicable)
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree – Technical Management or Plastics Engineering or Master’s Degree desired.
Experience
5-10 years of relevant work experience required, 2-5 years of experience in a plastics or fabrication environment.
