Location: 3010 Gaylord Parkway, Suite 200, Frisco, TX 75034. Hybrid position with 2-3 days remote work per week; must reside within commuting distance of the Frisco office. Requires up to 20% domestic travel to Uber Freight offices and customer sites.
About the role
Uber Freight helps companies move goods more reliably and efficiently by combining technology, people, and transportation capacity. This role applies customer operational requirements to model and optimize transportation and distribution networks within the Uber Freight optimization framework, leveraging market knowledge and data to support strategic decisions for clients.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate subject-matter-expert assignments with cross-functional teams, holding participants accountable to project milestones and deadlines.
- Ensure deliverables meet customer expectations for timeliness and quality.
- Apply customer operational requirements to model within the Uber Freight optimization framework.
- Use advanced modeling to evaluate and optimize the customer’s transportation and distribution network.
- Leverage Uber Freight market knowledge and data for research and development.
- Model client supply chain networks and conduct scenario analyses using commercial software to support strategic decisions.
- Manage logistics engineers and contractors to ensure timely task completion and client communication.
- Present findings to client executive management, defend recommendations, and guide future strategy.

Requirements
- Master of Science degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering or a directly related field.
- Certifications:
- Coupa Supply Chain Design
- Coupa Network Optimization
- Coupa Vehicle Route Optimization
- SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9
- SAS Certified Predictive Modeler Using SAS Enterprise Miner 7
- SAS Certified Statistical Business Analyst Using SAS 9: Regression and Modeling
- 5 years of experience in each of the following:
- Solving real-time problems within transportation strategy development through scenario analysis.
- Presenting data and findings to executive management and providing strategic recommendations.
- Building and managing large SQL databases to store, transform, and manage relational data.
- Building business intelligence using Tableau to analyze large relational data sources and deliver reporting/visualizations.
- Building complex supply chain optimization models using Coupa Supply Chain Guru.
- Supply Chain Management industry.
- Transportation industry.
- Leading large-scale optimization projects.
- Managing timelines, task completion, and internal project resources.
- Facilitating effective communication with customers and ensuring project deliverables.
- Microsoft Office programs: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
- 3 years of combined experience in each of the following Google Cloud Platform tools: Google Cloud Composer, Data Fusion, and Big Query.
- 3 years of experience in each of the following programming languages: Python, C++, VBA, Gurobi, and Simio.
- 3 years of experience automating data analytics to clean, prepare, and blend data using Alteryx.
- 3 years of combined experience using Generative AI and Agentic AI to answer prompts and generate content with minimal human oversight.
- 3 years of experience in each of the following Google Workspace programs: Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
Experience may be gained concurrently.
