ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, directs, manages and evaluates the day-to-day operations and production of OGCSupport staff.
  • Facilitate departmental software needs, system changes and training, including matter management software, panel counsel billing system, among others.
  • Oversee handling of all incoming mail for litigated matters.
  • Responsible for overseeing all electronic and other court filings and service of documents as needed in various jurisdictional filings.
  • Oversee handling of all incoming mail for litigated claims across multiple brands.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 5 years of experience
  • 1 year of leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • PMP Certification preferred, not required.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities.
  • Ability to make competent, independent decisions.
  • Ability and proficiency in the use of computers and Company standard software specific to position.
  • Knowledge of team building and employee motivation theories with the ability to manage employee teams.
  • Ability to interact with others to build consensus and get decisions implemented.
  • Knowledge of other functional areas; understand impact on Litigation functions.
  • Ability to effectively present budgetary and/or cost information and respond to questions as appropriate.
  • Ability to establish workflow, manages multiple projects and meet necessary deadlines.
  • Ability to perform other assignments at locations outside the office.
  • Familiar with laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to insurance, as necessary.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly supervises a varied number of employees in the designated department(s).
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
