About the role

The Auto Sales Center of Excellence is an innovation-focused organization dedicated to outpacing the market. We are seeking a proven Adult Learning Designer to join our team. This role is not about managing a content factory but rather designing world-class training for our 800 teammates serving 18,000 dealerships nationwide. You will collaborate with product development and sales professionals to ensure that learning initiatives support organizational success.

Responsibilities

  • Bring high-tech solutions and cutting-edge methodology to learning design.
  • Innovate with AI to drive efficiency and integrate AI into the learning experience.
  • Create video scripts, map out courses, build simulations, and develop digital games.
  • Transform live and virtual classes into interactive workshops where participants practice skills and receive feedback.
  • Design short, engaging lessons that align with employees' daily workflows, such as Slack, Google Suite, and Cruiser.
  • Use data to measure the effectiveness of training programs and demonstrate tangible business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with learning consultants and subject matter experts to design training solutions that meet business needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in learning design and development.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Articulate Storyline.
  • At least 2 years of experience integrating learning into a modern LMS.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 1+ years of experience with the Docebo LMS.
  • 4+ years of experience in design for digital modalities.
  • 4+ years of experience with multimedia photo and video editing software.
  • Experience using Experience API (xAPI) or similar data tools.
  • Experience working in environments that treat learning programs as products.
  • Portfolio of work showcasing digital learning, live workshop materials, and AI integration.
  • Project Management experience or certification.
  • 6Ds or other adult learning and design certifications.

Pay

Salaries for the Learning Manager role range from $122,100 to $139,400 in Plano, TX, and from $134,400 to $153,300 in McLean, VA. Part-time roles will be prorated based on the agreed-upon number of hours. For more information, refer to the Capital One Careers website.

Schedule

Full-time positions are typically 40 hours per week, while part-time roles vary based on the agreement between the employee and the company.

Skills

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong foundation in learning design, experience with AI integration, and proficiency in multimedia creation tools. Additionally, you should possess excellent project management skills and be able to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
