Manager Laboratory

Responsibilities

• Overtake daily laboratory operations, staffing priorities, and resource allocation.
• Lead, coach, and support team members through regular communication, feedback, and professional development.
• Promote a culture of quality, safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain compliance and inspection readiness in accordance with CAP, CLIA, and other applicable standards.
• Review operational, quality, productivity, and financial data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain laboratory policies, procedures, training programs, and department goals.
• Partner with physicians, nursing teams, hospital leaders, and external stakeholders as a laboratory subject matter expert.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, engagement, and retention efforts.
• Lead department initiatives and help the team successfully navigate operational and organizational changes.
• Provide hands-on support with specimen collection, processing, or testing when needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Clinical laboratory experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: Certified Phlebotomy Technician OR Medical Laboratory Scientist OR Medical Laboratory Technician.
