Manager, Investment Reporting

What We Are Looking For

The Manager of Investment Reporting, will play a key leadership role within the investment accounting and reporting function, supporting the accurate accounting, close, and reporting of Aspida’s growing and increasingly complex investment portfolio.

What You Will Do

• Lead and manage team members responsible for the monthly investment close and reporting process
• Review and oversee investment accounting reconciliations and controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
• Serve as a subject matter expert for investment reporting across asset classes including asset-backed securities, limited partnerships, and mortgage loans
• Support and enhance investment schedules and disclosures for financial reporting and analysis
• Oversee the onboarding of new complex transactions including system setup and reporting process design
• Partner cross-functionally with Investments, Treasury, Financial Reporting, Ares Capital, and external service providers to resolve issues and improve processes
• Identify opportunities to improve controls, efficiency, and scalability within the investment reporting function
• Provide coaching, guidance, and development support to team members

What We Require

• BA /BS in business, finance, or related degree
• Solid technology skills including advanced Excel
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills
• Strong communication skills and an eagerness to collaborate with others
• MBA/ CPA / CFA preferred
• 10+ years of relevant finance experience, including a strong background in investment reporting

Hybrid position, requiring onsite presence 3 days per week at our Durham, NC headquarters.
