Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversees the daily and monthly reconciliation of transactions, positions, and cash between internal systems, Bloomberg, and custodian banks across approximately 350 accounts held at 30 custodians.
- Leads the daily processing, validation, and communication of domestic and international corporate actions, ensuring timely and accurate application of mandatory and voluntary events.
- Maintains operational workflows, identifies exceptions, and ensures issues are researched, resolved, and escalated appropriately.
- Develops and implements process improvements that increase efficiency, strengthen operational controls, and reduce operational risk by maximizing the effective use of technology and automation.
- Establishes and maintains procedures and controls to support accurate reconciliation and corporate actions processing.
- Partners with custodians, portfolio management, trading, compliance, client service, and technology teams to resolve operational issues and support business initiatives.
- Participates in the hiring process for new associates and leads onboarding, training, coaching, and ongoing development of team members.
- Partners with the Director, Investment Operations on departmental strategy, priorities, resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supports internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and due diligence requests by providing operational documentation and subject matter expertise.
- Oversees special projects, system implementations, and operational initiatives that enhance scalability, efficiency, and service quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial services, preferably in a corporate or institutional setting.
- Experience with financial systems and software, such as Bloomberg, and knowledge of corporate actions processing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills
- Strong understanding of financial markets and corporate actions.
