Manager, Inventory Optimization

About the role

The Manager of Inventory Optimization at Graco is responsible for optimizing inventory levels to meet annual goals through strategic planning, data analysis, and collaboration across various departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a global inventory optimization strategy using data science and analytics
• Collaborate with Materials COE team and cross-functional partners to address root causes of inventory issues
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to leadership
• Implement automation solutions to enhance data quality and analytics efficiency
• Manage a team of analysts to oversee inventory and metrics, and lead cross-functional improvement initiatives
• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to balance inventory risk and reward, and address S&O situations
• Ensure alignment with organizational goals and promote a culture of excellence through team leadership and performance management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing materials management, with at least 5 years in the role
• Excellent leadership skills, including 4+ years of team leadership experience
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and achieving results
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Oracle ERP
• Experience in global, cross-functional team environments and industry best practices

Qualifications

• APICS certification preferred
• GAINS proficiency preferred
• Experience in global materials leadership and manufacturing leadership
