There’s a time and place for every type of dish, from hidden neighborhood gems to tried-and-true favorites, and we exist to connect people with the food they love in all the ways they like to dig in. About The Opportunity
The Grubhub Connect team is seeking a results-oriented, experienced leader to develop and lead the Sales and Go to Market function. You will define and drive go to market strategy, develop strategic KPIs that accelerate sustainable business line growth, and both execute and manage others’ execution on those KPIs. This role requires a unique blend of strategic foresight, product/technical scoping discipline, and strong cross-functional collaboration to translate the needs of our prospective partners and merchants into realized business opportunities.
The Impact You Will Make
- Drive High-Impact Growth: Actively prospect and secure strategic partnerships with brands and partners looking to expand their first party delivery ecosystem.
- Evaluate and align technical, commercial, and operational requirements between Grubhub and the prospective partner or brand prior to contract execution.
- Systematize Go-To-Market Processes: Evolve scrappy sales processes into repeatable, structured frameworks that scale the team's efficiency and eliminate deal-flow bottlenecks.
- Own go-to-market documentation, including pipeline, active deal status and deal size, ensuring next steps are communicated to relevant stakeholders, including executive-level leadership.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with partnership and implementation leads to surface critical relationship details early, enabling smooth post-implementation rollouts.
What You Bring To The Table
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Professional Experience: 6-8 years of progressive experience across sales, business development, business operations, strategy & ops, or management consulting.
- Leadership Experience: 2+ years of dedicated people management experience, explicitly including a proven track record of building high-performing teams.
- Executive Presence: Exceptional communication skills with a proven capacity to pitch a product in a B2B environment, synthesize technical requirements both to prospects and to internal teams, and summarize the health of the business to non-technical, executive-level internal stakeholders.
- Technical Aptitude: Innate curiosity and capable of rapidly absorbing new product features and translating them into value-add opportunities for prospects, while maintaining a pulse on impact to overall go-to-market strategy.
