    • Own and maintain enterprise backup and data protection strategies, including tools, schedules, retention policies, and regular recovery testing for all critical systems.

    • Ensure monitoring and backup coverage spans the full environment — network infrastructure, Azure cloud workloads, Microsoft 365 services, and on-premises systems.

  • DevOps & Platform Support

    • Work closely with the DevOps team to support infrastructure needs for applications and services.

    • Monitor and right-size Azure cloud resources in partnership with DevOps to optimize performance and control costs, including compute, storage, and networking spend.

    • Serve as a hands-on technical resource in cross-functional planning sessions and architecture discussions, contributing practical infrastructure expertise.

  • Operations & Team Leadership

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of infrastructure engineers, providing guidance while staying actively involved in technical work.

    • Maintain and uphold infrastructure policies, standards, and best practices across the team; recommend updates and improvements to Technology leadership as needs evolve.

    • Participate in incident response and act as an escalation point for infrastructure-related issues.

    • Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and operational best practices.

    • Support and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BCP) plans, including regular testing and documentation of recovery procedures.

  • Event Operations

    • Provide hands-on infrastructure support for games, concerts, and live events and serve as point of escalation for infrastructure issues during events.

    • Ensure systems are operational before and during events, with quick response to issues.

    • Coordinate with broadcast partners, production companies, league technology, and internal teams to support event-day technical requirements.
