About the role
The US Team Lead with Cboe Global Indices (CGI) oversees the research, design, and implementation of new index strategies supporting both Cboe’s branded indices and client-owned indices. This role focuses on derivatives and provides exposure to equities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and expand the team of index analysts in multiple offices
- Calculate CGI’s US suite of indices, covering options, as well as iNAVs/IOPVs
- Support Theoretical Options Pricing Service (TOPS), including process maintenance, validations, jobs aids, price challenges, and client support
- Responsible for team running index validations and quality assurance checks, currently focused on scripting in Python
- Participate in regular incident review and internal postmortem, suggesting and implementing process improvement
- Onboard new indices from implementation team, including methodology evaluation for operational feasibility and appropriate validations
- Participate in index committee meetings to set direction for index methodology enhancements, including suggesting and assisting with market consultations
- Help establish quality assurance for new calculation types
- Help establish index calculation standards to enable repeat application of calculation modules
- Participate in client meetings to show robustness of CGI calculations
- Work collaboratively with other Cboe departments on new index and benchmark launches, leading the post-launch support function
- Participate in enhancement initiatives to support robust and scalable processes in line with established control framework
Requirements
- 8+ years options, equity, financial indexing and/or financial markets experience in a related capacity
- Managerial experience (team of 2-6) preferred
- Strong quantitative and programming skills; experience in Python, R, and SQL with preference to Python
- Experience with written documentation of projects
- Strong background in index mathematics: writing, reading methodology formulas
- Able to solve non-routine problems
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong focus on training and onboarding new employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field required

Pay
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $135,575-$175,450, with actual compensation determined by job-related factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal alignment, and location.
Schedule
This role follows a four day in-office work model.
