About the role

The position is located at Gulf Coast BU - Region 03 - Market 08: 2709 Main St E, New Iberia, Louisiana 70560. Shift availability is flexible.

Essential Duties

• Leadership and Management: Directs the activities of 2 or more full-time employees, recruits, hires, and trains employees, schedules employees, and implements management skills.
• Store Relationships: Develops positive relationships with suppliers, resolves customer complaints, and promotes a safe, positive public image.
• Training and Development: Prepares performance appraisals, trains employees, and ensures compliance with safety procedures and cash awareness.
• Communications: Ensures timely communication with employees, organizes and maintains store files, and provides periodic meetings.
• Organizing and Planning: Evaluates and develops action plans, manages employee reports, and ensures accurate and timely stock and display of merchandise.
• Financial: Analyzes sales and expenses, budgets and forecasts P&L lines, and manages merchandise margins.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of retail experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
• Ability to supervise and train for equipment, tools, and materials.
• Ability to supervise and manage functions.
• Ability to use a computer.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Open availability.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work alone and in teams.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

• Work requires 50 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
• Exposure to extreme cold temperatures while working in a cooler or freezer.
• Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Grasping, reaching, and manipulating objects throughout the shift.
• Bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, pushing, pulling, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
• Working alone and with minimal supervision.
