About the role
The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults on action plans, and serves as an ambassador of the brand, focusing on customer service and merchandise promotion.
Responsibilities
- Affixes to the Store Manager in managing the store's assets and overseeing various operational aspects.
- Collaborates with the Store Manager to establish strategies for achieving departmental and overall store objectives.
- Assumes full responsibility of the store in the absence of the Store Manager, guiding employees and customers.
- Ensures adherence to policies, procedures, and standards outlined in manuals.
- Monitors inventory, sales, and expenses to maintain profitability across all departments.
- Provides exceptional customer service, aligning with the customer service manual.
- Performs general administrative tasks and is prepared to assume the Store Manager's responsibilities.
- Protects company assets and financial information through accurate internal controls and reporting potential fraud risks.
Requirements
- Experience in a retail setting, particularly in footwear and athletic apparel.
- One to three years of customer service experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Passion for customer service and merchandise sales.
