Manager In Training (Part-Time)

About the role

The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults in establishing action plans, and assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Aid in asset management and departmental responsibilities.
• Assist in inventory, sales statistics, and expense monitoring.
• Direct and guide employees and customers.
• Communicate with the Store Manager regarding departmental and overall store goals.
• Ensure quality customer service and maintain store profitability.
• Perform administrative duties and train in Store Manager responsibilities.
• Provide extraordinary customer service, including greeting customers and handling multiple requests.
• Promote and sell merchandise while adhering to company policies.
• Participate in internal control procedures and report potential fraud risks.

Requirements

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Passionate about customer service and merchandise selling.
